The Josephine County Adult in Custody Manual confirms that a mug shot is created during booking. It says the local $8 booking fee covers a toiletry pack, wristband, mug shot, and prints. That confirms the jail creates booking photos internally. It does not mean the public roster displays those photos.
The public Tyler/New World roster profile inspected for the research did not show a mugshot, and the result grid did not include a photo column. No official Josephine County daily booking-photo gallery or recent-booking mugshot gallery was located. The accurate local rule is narrow: the jail takes booking photos during intake, but the public roster sample did not display them and Oregon law limits release.

Where Josephine Booking Photos Appear

If a photo was used in court, provided to a party, released after conviction under the statute, or requested by the person depicted, the access analysis may differ from a public web search.
Request Josephine Booking Photo
The Sheriff's Records Division is the official starting point for a releasable Josephine County booking photo that is not shown online. The division is at 1901 NE F St. in Grants Pass, uses phone (541) 474-5123 option #3, and lists lobby hours Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. A request should identify the person, date of booking, booking number or subject number if known, and the reason or legal basis for requesting the photo.
Posted report-copy fees apply to police and CAD records, and a request that takes more than one hour may incur hourly charges. Mugshot Removal and Set Aside
Oregon's set-aside statute, ORS 137.225, is the relevant route for eligible arrests and convictions. The Josephine County District Attorney page directs readers to the statute and circuit-court forms. A set-aside or sealed record can affect what remains publicly available, but it is not the same as asking a private website to delete a copy of an image.
If a case was dismissed, set aside, sealed, or otherwise restricted, verify the court status first. Then contact the source that holds or released the record.
